Ethiopian troops are systematically ill-treating civilians in their counter-insurgency campaign in the Somali region, Human Rights Watch says.

The Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) fighters killed 160 and wounded 61 Woyane troops, during engagements between May 20th and June 2nd.  In addition, two military trucks, with cargo and Woyane troops on board, were destroyed.
In a separate engagement, on June 10th, 350 Woyane troops were killed and 6 others surrendered.
