Ethiopia And Sudan Intelligence Services Agree To Fight Against Organized Crimes Along Border
August 6, 2019 (FBC) –Ethiopia’s and Sudan’s National Intelligence and Security Services have signed agreement to work together.
The agreement was signed by Director General of Ethiopia’s National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS), Demelash Gebremichael and his Sudan’s counterpart Abu Bakr Mustafa (aka Demblab).
According to the agreement, both sides will collaborate in the fight against terrorism, illicit movement of arms and financial flow, human trafficking, and border and organized crimes through the exchange of information.
The two security services also agreed to carry out series of operations to prevent crimes along their border, according to a statement Ethiopia’s NISS sent to FBC yesterday.
The two country have been working to prevent organized crimes by setting up and deploying joint forces along their border.
