Running spectacle with new entrant record
Almost 30,000 runners lured the Grand Prix of Berne 2017 into the historic old town. In the 10-mile race, Ghirmay Ghebreslassie and Viktoriia Pogorielska were the fastest.
The Grand Prix of Bern confirmed on Saturday, May 13, 2017 its reputation as a major Running event in Switzerland . Nearly 30,000 starters ran the 10 miles (or about 16.09 km) or one of the teh races and thus ensured a new participant record.

Ghirmay Ghebreslassie was the fastest man on the 10-mile distance at the Grand Prix Berne 2017 in 49:25 minutes. Sylvester Kipchirchir finished second , with a goal time of 49:34 minutes. Third was Simon Tesfay in 50:27 minutes.
